Hello,

I'm new to DP, and did not have much luck when googling about this. I'm setting up a request-reply scenario between datapower and a mq cluster.

When sending request, DP->cluster queue. DP connects to my cluster gateway, and the request message is correctly sent to my clustered queue in a cluster member. I dont have a problem here.

When the request message is received, WMB processes it and sends it back to a reply queue. Here's the problem, where should I locate a reply queue? I thought about defining multiple cluster remote queues, but could a remote queue point to a queue inside the datapower? Otherwise should I just define the reply queue in my gateway qmgr?

The reply queue should be defined as a local queue on the queue manager your application, in this case DataPower, is connected to when it puts the request.

The request message should have that reply queue name in its MQMD Reply To Queue field. On the MQPUT, leave the MQMD Reply To Queue Manager blank and the QM you are connected to will automagically fill in its own name for you.

The WMB flow that is processing your request should reply to whatever it finds in the MQMD's ReplyToQ and ReplyToQM of the request message.

There are no queues inside of Datapower.

Datapower always and only makes client connections.
