Hi -

I'm wondering...if it's possible to handle a bindings exception where a queue is missing by adding the bindings entry directly from code and rebinding? If someone can point me in the right direction of documentation in this realm, I'd be greatly appreciative.

Thanks,
Andrew

Possible, maybe.

A good idea? No.

In order to add a bindings entry, your application needs to know all of the physical destination information.

If your application already knows the physical destination information, then it doesn't need to use JNDI to look it up.

If your app already knows all the physical destination information, then there's no way it can be sure that the information is still correct. So if the admin changes the information to put in the new information, and puts in the wrong name, and then your app adds the old information under the old name...

Now everything is broken.
