We want to configure IBM WebSphere Application Server V7 with IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.3.
For that purpose, we have created users in IBM Tivoli Directory Server and when we do configuration with IBM WebSphere Application Server, we are getting the following User.
"Validation failed: SECJ7716E: Primary administrative user Id does not exist in the registry"
Here are the settings of IBM WebSphere Application Server:
Admin Console--> Global Security --> User Account repositry (Standalone LDAP registry)--> Configure
Primary administrative user name --> admin (this user exist in LDAP and default websphere application user as well). which one is required ??
Base distinguished name (DN) --> ou=ind,o=ibm
Base distinguished name (DN) --> uid=admin,ou=adminusers,ou=ind,o=ibm
Bind Password --> (this password exist in LDAP and while default websphere application server password as well). which one is required ??
When we click on "Test connection" options, it works fine. While saving changes in Global Security , we are getting error below
"Validation failed: SECJ7716E: Primary administrative user Id does not exist in the registry"
Please suggest.

If you check your logs, I'll bet you find a ClassNotFound exception. There is an APAR and patch to apply to get around it. Open a PMR to get the APAR.
