I have reviewed the documentation I have and can't seem to find the answer. I have a client (3rd party packaged) application that can talk directly to MQ and perform MQGET and MQPUT.
What I need to do is extend this somewhat. I need for the 3rd party application to place a message on a local queue, then for the message to get moved to another queue manager on a different server.
In addition, I'll need to go the other direction as well. What I mean is that the queue manager on the second server will need to deliver a message to the queue manager on the server that the 3rd party application resides on.
What I am looking for is how to set this up on both machines I'm on MQSeries 5.3 for Windows.
Thanks. |

You should look in the intercommunication guide. |

Hi,
In order to accomplish this task, you will first need the client to generate a request message and place that message on a remote queue definition that points to the second queue manager. On that queue manager you will have an application that starts, processes the request and generates a reply back to the original queue manager at which time your client can get the message. Look in the application programming guide and reference.
Hope this helps
Sincerely,
