I am trying to log into WAS console,
and to my surprise it says user/pwd not valid.
I have 2 questions related to this event, so guess I open 2 lines.
Fist one is simple : what is the "normal" way of changing the pasword of the "wasadmin" user, created whet WAS was installed ?
Guess it is using the WAS console, thru broser.
And the "exceptional" way, when usr/pwd are not valid anymore ?
I mean, I can not use "wsadmin" as it asks for usr/pwd which are not valid anymore ...
I have to say that this WAS is NOT USING LDAP, so I have read the password resides on some kind of internal repository, which I'd say is the Registry in Windows, maybe a text file.
Thanks. Sebastian. |

Your account is an OS account. When did the OS password change?
Did you try logging in with the OS passwd?
By the way Windows uses active directory which is an LDAP... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Today is non-working day here, mr Saper, so I am not at work, but it seems to me "wasadmin" is no a Windows user ... and of course its pwd has not been changed by me ...
And I never use Active Directory, never if I have the chance to choose, and this case the VM is 100% mine and it is a standalone 2003 server, no domain controller, no Active Diretory, no no no.
Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it.
Sebastian.
PD.- Monday I will verify "wasadmin" is Windows user or not, but its definition I remember was done in the middle of the WAS (and Sametime) install. |
