Has anyone implemented DataPower as TAI (trusted association interceptor)? I need to implement this for "Windows Integrated Authentication for Web Services". I see it as one of the use cases under SPNEGO use cases in info center for DataPower, but I need some information around how to implement this use case.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Trust Association Interceptor provides a way for users to become known to WebSphere Application Server without having to re-authenticate, also known as Single Sign On or SSO. Since DataPower is not a party to the original authentication, it is not possible to do this out-of-the-box unless you provide DataPower access to the original sign-on credentials ahead of time, which is sort of counter-intuitive to the whole idea.

The purpose of an interceptor is to validate requests based on HTTP/SIP headers and map user information to WebSphere Application Server-rich security information. You can use DataPower to do this, but you may need extensive custom code.

Trust Association Interceptor paradigm is actually a Tivoli anti-pattern for use with Tivoli Access Manager. Since your target is Windows, not sure how you plan to implement the TAM layer in Windows.

Is it possible ? Yes. Given enough time and budget, we can do alot of things. TAL is mainly used in conjunction with RBAC. If you want help brainstorming, maybe you tell us what your RBAC strategy is so we can point your efforts in a general direction.
