We are using pub/sub in a clustered env.
pub/sub works in higher layer. The only pitfall I was able to find, and I think this is a bug in WMQI, is that if you subscibe using lower case queue manager names, or topic names, the publication will not work, or in other words the broker will say it delivered the message but the message will not get to the queues.
The work around is to make sure the queue manager names, queue names, topic names, are all upper case within WMQI.
it's the first time, I hear about something called event manager.

MQSeries queue and queue manager names have always been case sensitive.
If you have named all your objects with upper case names, then yes you have to use all upper case names when trying to refer to them - regardless of what type of access you're trying to do, including pub/sub. |
