In the read first (for newbies) forum there is a link to a page about how to ask your questions the smart way.
I suggest you make use of it.
Your post does not in any way describe the environment, the actions taken, what failed / worked etc... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

And what leads you to believe that this message is coming from WMQ rather than your application (given that it doesn't look like a message from WMQ & contains no WMQ information)? There's nothing in there about any WMQ reason code, especially the 2003 you refer to in the title? So if this is the result of a WMQ error how do you expect us to know why from what you've posted, never mind what can be done about it? If it's coming from your application how do you expect us to know what configuration options are possible?
If it is a 2003 then it may well be a badly configured queue manager with logs too small rather than any application or configuration issue. But with a 2003 my first suggestion for a "configuration" change would be to fix the bug in your application! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I apolozie for not providing sufficient information. We are using MQ V7 on our aix server,a jms application puts the the message to X queue on a QM and a shell script incoporated in abinitio application will consume those messages. We do this in a real time basis. It was working fine for a long time but recentley during this week it fails to consume the messages from queue x.But when we restart the abinitio process the application again starts picking up the messages. The error message coming out as :-
========= Error from MQSubscribe_to_QUEUE_NAME_.000 on hostname xx =========
Failed to get message from data queue: error code 2003: See the MQ Series documentation for more details |

What does the documentation say about the 2003 reason code?
If you want to omit this error as you indicated in your first post, then I suggest you change the application settings not to report it (though I can't imagine why you think not seeing there's a problem will help with the problem).
If you want to omit the problem by stopping the code being returned then I stand by my earlier comments. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Is that a JMSWMQ2003 or an MQRC 2003 you're getting? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Oooo..... good catch!
It's JMS isn't it? That could be the JMS exception code. It was bugging me how you'd get a WMQ 2003 from a put and that would explain it. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Good thank you, but could do with new batteries in my light-saber. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Or that the corporate proxy I'm trapped behind allowed access to any personal email system (GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc, etc).
But I can catch up with you later. You know how to find me....
