Hi all,
I am currently struggling with one of my flows that worked on 6.0 but is no longer working on 6.1. 6.0 is running on MQ 6, 6.1 on MQ 7)
I am creating messages from a timer that need a valid RFH2 set for further processing, but for some reason the integer format seems to be different. The receiving application (Perl script) cannot get the message from the queue.
When I have conversion enabled, I am getting an error 2112. I have turned the conversion off now and analysed the message in detail. I have noticed that for working messages (e. g. copied from the old system) the RFH version 2 is encoded as 0x02000000, for the non-working messages it is 00000002. Therefore the parsing of the RFH does not work.
I have furthermore checked the messages in rfhutil and noticed that the Int Fmt in the MQMD is PC for the working messages and Host for non-working ones.
Any help is appreciated, I am working on that since 2 days now and I have no clue what to do. I tried to set several CCSIDs and Encodings without any success. I am even happy for google results cause I am running out of ideas for search queries...
Cheers, Birger. |

One number is big endinian, the other is little endian. This is described by the endcoding.

CCSID will not help you, encoding will. Do not try randomly setting these values in the hope of hitting the right one. Determine which endcoding describes how the numbers are held, and use that. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
