I have imported the sample app i.e. Financial Transaction Manager.I have noticed that all the input parameters are promoted so i manually supplied all the parameters and also DSN but the I am getting Recoverable Exception in some file F:\\build\\S000_P\\src\\DataFlowEngine\\ImbRdl\\ImbRdlFieldRef.cpp

Can anyone give me some reference to learn this app or the objects used in the framework.

Financial Transaction Manager is for use on z/OS. What platform are you using? What version of Message Broker?

This link:
http://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/cgi-bin/ssialias?subtype=ca&infotype=an&appname=iSource&supplier=897&letternum=ENUS211-049

seems to imply that this platform:

Quote:
WebSphere Business Integration for Financial Networks for Multiplatforms Financial Transaction Manager V3.1

Any hardware explicitly compatible with and fully capable of running the specified operating system, the corresponding software, and associated applications unmodified. Responsibility to provide a statement of full compatibility between machines lies with the original equipment provider.

Server requirements:

* IBM System p® or RS/6000® processor machines
* IBM System i5® (for AIX)

The WBI runtime component can run on any platform. If you have NO z/OS for the WBI component to talk to, the exercise is pointless.

see we are actually trying to explore WBifn using WB7.0 in windows xp what i want to ask is how do we use its sample application in which all the input nodes are promoted to flow, when i created my queue, dsn in test environment recoverable exception is shown on one of the node and event viewer shows
F:\\build\\S000_P\\src\\DataFlowEngine\\ImbRdl\\ImbRdlFieldRef.cpp
file is missing.

now all i want to ask in short is how do i run sample app in this framework. or if you could provide a way or brief me as to, how i should start with this framework or any documentation regarding how to use this framework.i have been assigned to work on WBIFN with no training so this forum is only the source where i can expect a help.....

Oh Dear of dear oh dear.
What is your experience of messaging in the Finance/Banking Industry? I hope you have lots because without it, you are going to be in trouble due to your admited lack of training.
Using WBIFN without proper training is IMHO not for the faint hearted.

You should really push back on whoever assigned you to do this work.
Do they want it done or do they want it done right? In the financial world there are huge business impacts if you don't do it right.

Sadly, there are far too many companies these days who just want it done. This leaves a pile of stinking dog poo for those who follow on to clean up (or not as th case maybe..)

I have spent a lot of my working like dealing with messaging in the finance world including SWIFT and Credit Cards etc. I would not like to have to work on WBIFN in anger without at least some training or a period where I could get myself up to speed without any pressure to deliver something.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

There is at least one escape.

In therory my boss could give me a deadline to become a Java coder. Or a rocket scientist. The latter is more likely but both are unlikely.

You can indeed give up, or at least point out to your boss exactly what he's asking. This is a massive area to cover and getting one sample app to work is not going to get you a full understanding.

As to the software in question, I've got no experrience to offer.
