Hi ,

Can anyone tell me how to handle the exception thrown in the MQ request / response scenario?

My request application is the mainframe /cobol and response application in Java.

This is a very broad question - can you narrow it down for us? Do you mean handling of programmatic exceptions in the Java code, or the CICS COBOL code, or both? Or do you mean what errors could arise in a request/response scenario that you need your code to handle?

ok..Basically I want to send some error message to the mainframe system. If the java application unable to process the request.
This case can i use any of the Message header to inform the exception (which header fields can be used, I want to put this in header only) and message contains the the description of the error.

There are fields in the message descriptor that you could use for this purpose, but none that you should use. This is application level data, and as such belongs in the message payload.
