We are planning for upgrade AIX 4.3 to 5.1.
Is there any known problems with:
MQSeries 5.2.1 ?
DB2 7.1 ?
Workflow 3.3.2 ?
WMQI 2.1 ?
NNSY ?
Any special requirments, service packs etc.?

Hi Yaakov,
The pre-requistes over AIX 5.1
MQSeries 5.3
MQSI 2.1
DB2 7.2
for the Workflow not sure but i guess you have to use MQ WorkFlow 3.3.3 . As IBM Lab is testing MQSI 2.1 for AIX 5.1 and they will come back by the end of next month. So as of now i guess no one has been using these versions over AIX 5.1.

Hi
Currently our production system is running with AIX5.1 with MQ5.2 and Wmqi2.1.Still now i don't have any issues.........

I'm not sure that MQSeries 5.3 is must, even I'm not sure that it already official supported for Worflow and WMQI.

Hi Yaakov
I hope this will help you...
1) MQ 5.2
a) We do NOT plan to test or support AIX V5.2 with MQSeries V5.2
b) Websphere MQ Life Cycle,Hursley is currently in test with AIX V5.2 on
MQSeries V5.3 and expect to complete the tests by the end of February
at which time we will update the external Web pages to reflect this
........ this of course is subject to Hursley not finding any major
problems.
***Latest update from Hursely: There's a delay in the test completion date and it is expected to be completed by Mid March 2003 as Hursley had found a defect, which has been resolved. They are therefore re running the tests.
2) MQSI
a) We do NOT plan to support AIX V5.2 on WMQI V2.0.2, we are currently in test with WMQI V2.1 only, but have encountered problems with NEON and are therefore awaiting a fix from them.
3) DB2
a) DB2 V7.1 EE is supported on AIX 5.2 both 32 & 64 bit.
You do need to be running at a fix pack level of 4 though. This is
commonly refered to as DB2 7.2 FP4.
Regarding the
2)MQSI , there's no specific date when the fix for the
problems with AIX V5.2 and NEON on WMQI v2.1 will be released. According to Hursley, there is no problem with NEON on WMQI v2.1 and AIX 5.1. It looks as if you need to migrate to V2.1 with AIX V5.1 until we have resolved the problems with AIX V5.2 and NEON.
