How do I prevent fragmentation during a HUGE FTP process on Windows? When we run a HUGE FTP process onto a Windows server the disk fragmentation goes very high. We have 4 - 5 FTPs running at the same time which causes a large amount of fragmentation to occur. This create a lot of performance problems on the disk.

Broker is and can no way be responsible for the file system performance for a remote FTP operation. You need to look at the remote end.
What is the filesystem type where the target writes (and thus the fragmentation) are going? You may need to do a re-format with changes to things like block sizes BUT this is a SYSADMIN iss for the remote server not broker. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
Which side is getting the fragmentation? the Broker side or the other side?
Are you really actually using Broker and the File nodes with their built-in FTP capability, or are you doing something completely unrelated to Message Broker?
What is the exact nature of the FTP operation? What FTP software is involved?
