Folks
I read/know that shared queue information in Z/os will be stored in DB2 and if DB2 is not available we can't access shared queues. But surprisingly ohter day when DB2 was not avalible, I could not access local queue information. It is giving CSQM294I, Can't get info from DB2.

Can any one lt me know what information does local queue stores in DB2 and why it was not accessible when DB2 was down.

Thanks !!!

Exactly what local queue information? Was it information about a shared-queuee or qsg information? Information about shared-queues and qsg information is stored in the CF.

Did you google CSQM294I?http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/v7r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.mq.csqsao.doc/zm16650_.htm

It's not a shared queue. It is just local queue.I just would like to see the depth of local queue. But when I try to access I got CANNOT GET INFORMATION FROM DB2. I know only shared queue store information in DB2, but I'm wondering what is relationship between local queue and DB2.why I was unable to access local queue information like curdepth ..etc when DB2 was unavailable.

the Infocenter says for CSQM294I:

"Information about objects with a disposition of GROUP or SHARED is not displayed, so the information displayed may therefore be incomplete."

can you see some queue atributes?

I verified that too. The disposition here is QMGR , it is NOT either GROUP/SHARED.
