Hi Friends,

Did any one configure IBM MQSeries and F5 BIG IP.

Is it possible to achieve this between IBM Queue Manager and F5 BIG IP.

actually our scenario as follows.

we have two Queue Managers QM1 AND QM2 at site A.

we have QM3 at site B.

Normal flow is QM1 and QM2 can connect directly to QM3.

Now , we want to Connect QM1 and QM2 through F5 BIG IP to QM3. for Load balancing.

can we achieve this ??

SDR/RCVR channel integrity is compromised by load-balancers so no, and I'm pretty certain someone will be along in a moment to confirm.

No.

If you want to load balance traffic between queue managers use WMQ clustering.

I've never heard of F5 BIG IP honestly, but when I did a quick search on it I found its kind of network device., I'm not sure how to rely on it.
As vitor and exerk has suggested to better use MQ Clustering for load balancing !
why do you want to add another cost to the company by adding those devices for just load balancing ?

It's not just better. As we've both indicated, running that class of channel through BIG IP does not work.
