we are using db2 9.5. We have a set of stored procs that we call from WMB 6.1.0.7 broker.
Our WMB flow wait indefinitely for the SP to return.
Ultimately we had to reload the EG or kill the EG(sometimes).
Did anyone encounter a similar problem?
Can we mention a time out for stored procs in WMB or in ODBC profile? |

Maybe you should just fix the stored procedures so that they don't loop forever?
And apply 6.1.0.9. I believe there are fixes in this area. |

thanks mqjeff,
Yes fixing the SP is priority 1.
I was just wondering how to mitigate the impact on end user.
maybe, adding a new instance would help or any other suggestions you all might provide.
Also,
Are you referring to any specific issues that got fixed in .9?
I checked http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?&uid=swg27015978
this link and did not find anything explicitly mentioned. |

Huh. I thought I had remembered seeing a fix related to ODBC timeouts. But in looking again, even at v7, I don't see one.
Sorry.
Regardless, the DBA should be able to kill the connection from the DB2 side and this should cause the EG to start functioning again. |
