Hi,
When I try to create the qmgr using crtmqm command , I receive an error.. ( I logged in as vgupta and sudo su to mqm, even later I added vgupta to mqm group as admin, it was just a trial of installation of mq on linux test server so management had no objection while putting my id as member of mqm group. )
AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (893) has occurred.
Where as when I give dspmqver, it shows as following..
[mqm@utility ~]$ dspmqver
Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 6.0.0.0
CMVC level: p000-L050519
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)
After installation of mqv6 on Linux Redhat, following MQ packages were found :
[mqm@utility ~]$ rpm -qa | grep MQSeries
MQSeriesMsg_es-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesSDK-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesSamples-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesMan-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesJava-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesKeyMan-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesRuntime-6.0.0-0
MQSeriesServer-6.0.0-0
mqm user id/group id is defined on the server and its like this :
[mqm@utility ~]$ grep mqm /etc/group
mqm:x:107:mqm,vgupta
[mqm@utility ~]$ grep mqm /etc/passwd
mqm:x:513:107::/home/mqm:/bin/bash
Following is the kind&version of OS :
MQv6.0 is on Linux version 2.6.18 (gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-4 )
Can you please suggest what could be the reasons for that ?

Test server or not, apply maintenance!
Any FDCs cut, maybe with Probe ID ZS086000? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

The Info Center provides a more detailed explanation for AMQ8101:

... More information might be available in the log. |
and for MQRC 2915 (0893):

... consult the FDC file to obtain more detail about the problem. |

MQ 6.0.0.0 was released in 2005.
I don't know how many bugs are fixed since then, but it is a lot.
Please see if your problem is still present at the latest fix pack.
If it is, then the sort of problem description you have given is typically something you will need to ask IBM about. That is, open a PMR. |

ya.. I can see the FDCs and Error logs. FDC with Probe Id : XC301060, I Googled on it and have got http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21227842
and I've release 5.5 of linux :
[mqm@utility errors]$ lsb_release -dr
Description: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)
Release: 5.5
And Linux version 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5
where 2 is the kernel version, 6 is the major revision of the kernel, 18 is the minor revision of the kernel.
Also have checked on.. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27006793
[mqm@utility errors]$ rpm -qa | grep java
java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-1.4.2.0-40jpp.115 _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

RHEL v5.x or later requires WMQ v6.0.2.x or later. |
