Presumably you mean "new to v7"; I observe you've been a member here since 2008 & first posted over 2 years ago.

SSL is not significantly different under v7 than earlier versions.

This touches exactly the point of mqjeff - security in this context can (and given what you're doing probably does) mean more than just securing the channels in the way you seem to mean it.

No I joined in 2008 but unfortunately after that I worked in the other technology in my company i.e in PL/SQL so had never worked in MQ and MB.
