Hi,
I am trying to use MQftp to ftp the MQ messages (which is on an NT OS) to a file on a AS/400 machine. However, it reads a single message at a time. Is there a way to read all the messages on the queue and ftp it to a single file on the AS/400?.
If there is any other better way to do it, I would greatly appreciate.
If you have the source for the program change the location of when you call the ftp functionality. The code probably does a read while not 2033 invoking hte ftp logic each time. Just echo the messages to a file while reading from the queue until 2033 is encountered. Then execute the ftp logic.
A better design would incoreperate logic to give a max number of messages that can be in a file. This would allow for the process to be stable should a great number of messages be placed on the queue at the same time. This is especially important if you are managing persistant messages...
