Can anyone give info on:
1. How often broker messages file is recycled?
2. I have 3 brokers on single unix sun box. Is this effects the recycle time?
3. I am trying to split (with cron job evry hour) /var/adm/messages into 3 files (one per broker) and report/email errors from the PROD server within the last our since last run. Is this posible and it make any sence?

Broker doesn't do anything with these files directly.

Broker talks to the syslogd daemon process, which handles these files.

Talk to your unix systems admin about how to manage syslogd and how to recycle files.

You might, for example, decide that instead of directing user.info to write directly to /var/adm/messages, you want it to write to a pipe.
