I have two queue managers in a cluster (Full Repo) for Broker and Configuration manager in AIX server. A local defined on Broker's queue manager, in cluster can be viewed by the configuration manger's Queue manager. Now I want to put a message on a local queue of Broker QM from my local queue manager on Windows but through Configuration Manager's QM. I have created a Remote queue for this queue on my windows QM with channel from local QM to Configuration Manager's QM. But while putting the message through this Remote queue its going to the DLQ of Configuration Managers QM and if I wont specify the QM name in Remote queue definition then it gives an 2087 error. Kindly suggest

you do not need a remote queue definition to put to a queue shared in a cluster

if you do have a remote queue you also must have the xmitq and sdr/scvr channel pair to go with it

make up your mind whether you want to use cluster or point-to-point technology to transfer the msgs

2087 Unknown qmgr in the cluster for the q definition?

Review the cluster manual and specifically the chapter about posting to a cluster queue from a qmgr outside the cluster. You will need to setup a "cluster alias".

Have fun
