Want to verify if I can do the following.
Two Applications sharing a common os/390 QMGR. Application 1 uses Q1 with process P1 using and initq INITX. Second application - Application 2 uses Q2 with process P2 (kicking off a different cics transaction) also using initq INITX. Both application want to go to the same CICS region so they would use the same Initq because that is how CICS interfaces with MQ.
Will that work ? If so is any one else doing this?

Yes, you can. It is possible to have multiple initq's for CICS queue manager, but it is not recommended. The reason it wil work, because your process definition actually has the name of the application to be triggered.
We have done several times, and it works fine, as long as all objects are defined properly.
Good luck _________________ Yan Sandler
