I am looking at migrating from MQSI V1.1 to WMQI V2.1. Ideally we would like to remove our dependency on NEON which we use heavily.
Our input data typically consists of 10 fields of fixed length followed by a large variable length field at the end. In NEON this end field can be parsed by using a regular expression. Is there an equivalent way of capturing a variable length field in a Message Set? Someone told me the lengths of the elements need to be determined in advance, which we can't do.

I believe you should be OK also. We have converted over most all of our Neon stuff to MQSI 2.1 out of the box without issue. I think with MQSI 2.1 you should be almost 100% compatible. There might be something that doesn't quite work, but I don't think we've found it yet. Good luck!!!
