Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I need to read files from same FTP server but from different folders. I have developed 2 separate flows for this and used FileNodes to read the messages from the ftp server and put into WMQ Queue. Now I am facing an issue where in the flows eats 100% of CPU and Broker gets hanged after some time.
I have checked broker server event logs and found below entries. Has any one faced such issues and how to resolve or what is wrong with the configuration. Any clue is helpfull.
Note : For testing purpose I have pointed both the flows to check same ftp folder.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: WebSphere Broker v6105
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2628
Date: 11/5/2009
Time: 7:50:38 AM
User: N/A
Computer: TEST
Description:
( DEFAULT_BROKER.default ) Exception condition detected on input node 'FTPMainFlow.ftp.test.server'.
The input node 'FTPMainFlow.ftp.test.server' detected an error whilst processing a message. The message flow has been rolled-back and, if the message was being processed in a unit of work, it will remain on the input queue to be processed again. Following messages will indicate the cause of this exception.
Check the error messages which follow to determine why the exception was generated, and take action as described by those messages.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: WebSphere Broker v6105
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3385
Date: 11/5/2009
Time: 7:50:35 AM
User: N/A
Computer: TEST
Description:
( DEFAULT_BROKER.default ) File node ''ftp.test.server'' in message flow ''FTPMainFlow''. Unexpected I/O exception occurred in communication with FTP server ''FtpService[ftp.test.server,CWD '.']''. I/O exception text is ''File in use by thread Thread[Thread-18,5,main] in this execution group.''.
The transfer of a file using FTP failed with an I/O exception. The transfer is abandoned.
Ensure that the socket connection is valid and stable, and that the local and remote file systems have enough space and sufficient permissions for the transfer, including, when necessary, the deletion of a local or remote file. Examine the I/O exception text for further information. See the WebSphere Message Brokers online documentation sections "FileInput node" and "FileOutput node" for more information.
After deploying the flows I had placed around 30 files in the ftp site and all are consumed by the flows and processed successfully.
Thank you in advance

Triple-check the permissions on the FTP side. |

Thanks for your reply. We had raised a PMR to IBM about this issue. It seems like they are going to release a Fix pack for this issue.
The file node Logs in to the FTP server for the first time and tries to read the files. In between if FTP server goes down then the flow goes into infinite looping.
Hope the issue gets resolved once we apply the fix pack....
I will update once we have applied the fix pack and once the flow starts working correctly....
Thanks again...
