What will happen to channel sequence number if we re-start the queue manger.
suppose, initially we have a sequence number of 243 and we re-start the queue manager , would the sequence number will stay the same or will it reset to '1' _________________ "For all your days be prepared, and meet them ever alike.

MQSeries keeps the channel number in the SYSTEM.CHANNEL SYNCQ. As it is used to sync sender and receiver channel it HAS to survive restarts, otherwise channels would be out of sequence every time one party does maitenance or other actions that require restart of qmgr.
read the intercommunication manual for more wonderful details about mq communication. _________________ Regards, Butcher |
