I have set up the CICS Bridge and everything works fine. I have a couple of questions. Is it possible to start more than one Bridge Monitor task (CKBR)? Another words can I copy CKBR to another transaction name and run that at the same time CKBR is running and each monitor a different request queue? How does the bridge monitor task know which queue to watch. We start CKBR when a message is put on the request queue and a process kicks off which starts CKBR. Does that process somehow associate CKBR to the request queue because that was the one triggered. That is why I'm thinking to have more than one request queue in one region, but have different request queue names for security reasons. Or can CKBR monitor more than one request queue (I didn't think it could)?
You can have multiple copies of CKBR running in a CICS region each monitoring a different bridge queue. You don't need to copy the transaction.
Whne the trigger monitor (CKTI) starts the CKBR transaction it passes it the name of the queue to be monitored. _________________ Bob Buxton
