Hi Friends,
I have two different queue managers in two diff machines and having two different channels for different purposes (sending/recieving). I am able to start the channels, I am able to communicate in between them, but my problem is, these channels are getting down after some time(unpredictable), I couldn't able to figure out after how much time they are getting down, but certainly they are getting down after some time.
When It happens I have to execute the mqsc commands on both machines to start these channels again, when I do that everything works fine.
I have used runmqlsr executable to start these channels on different ports, after creating the respective managers, I didn't update the inetd.conf file.
I can see the respective process are running when I do the ps -ef command. But in the application we will get an error saying I can't I communicate in between queues then I can confirm these channels have stopped, when I look for the channel status, the result I am getting is Channel Status not found. When this happens I need to start these channels using mqsc commands(start listener). After doing this on both ends I can see the status as Running.
I am not getting what could be the problem, can anyone help me in resolving this issue.
Thanks

Sridar,
What is your SNDR channels "disconnect" interval set at?
If you set to "0" the channels will never go "INACTIVE".
Alternatively, you should define a channel trigger process. This will automatically "activate" the channel when a message arrives in the SDR channels XMIT queue.
If your RCVR channel goes INACTIVE, the other MQM's SDR channel's DISCINT has expired. A channel trigger process should be defined there as well.
Regards,
MichaelR
