We have just installed WMQ 5.3 for AIX. I have checked out the 'amqiclen' command (options -vc -m qmgr) which works fine. However earlier posts have indicated that it should be used only when directed, may be unsupported etc. The only documentation appears to be the -?.
As we have regularly had problems restarting queue managers due to shared memory problems we would like to incorporate the use of 'amqiclen' into our Test and Production environment procedures (as well as Development), particularly as it allows one to clean up resources for an individual queue manager. However we would not want to do this unless it is a reliable, supported tool. Has anyone had any 'official' feedback from IBM re use of the executable?
