Hi All,

My application needs to write to the system dead letter queue. It is recommended, in the MQSeries documentation, to add MQDLH(the Dead Letter Header) to every message that needs to go the dead letter queue. I'm just unable to figure out how to write this header to my message.

Can anyone help?

I'm using MQSeries 5.2 and MQ base java classes, not JMS.

I have a sample that writes an MQIIH header using base java. You can easily follow it to see how to write the MQDLH. The sample does the mapping from the structure in the include file to the java code.

Depending on what you are doing, you might actually want to use the backout queue rather than the dead letter queue. There is a sample in the repository:
