I tried to create a simple sub flow, that consists of a input terminal node, compute node and 2 output terminal node. This sub flow will be called by a main flow, which consists of a MQInput node, the sub flow node, and 2 MQOutput node.

I tried to deploy the 2 message flows (checked and no errors occurred), but failed due to the following reason:

"BIP1755E: Invalid message flow Test_SubFlow when deploying message flows.

When deploying message flow data, the document for message flow Test_SubFlow was retrieved from the configuration repository, but was found to be invalid for use as a top-level message flow. It contains at least one Input terminal or Output terminal, which is not permitted. The cause is the direct assignment to an execution group of either one of the IBM primitive message flow, or a user defined message flow containing an Input terminal or an Output terminal.

Make sure that the only message flows you assign to an execution group are those that do not contain Input terminals or Output terminals. If Test_SubFlow is user defined, either check it out and remove any Input terminals and Output terminals, or create a new top-level message flow that embeds Test_SubFlow. Check everything back in and retry the deploy operation."

I have no idea how to solve this, because as far as my understanding, having a sub flow, I need to have an input terminal and an output terminal. If I were to take them away, then I won't be able to call the sub flow.

Can anyone help ? Thanks in advance!

You should never assign a sub-flow to the broker for deploy. The sub-flow is automatically deployed along with the main/parent message flow, so you should assign only the main message flow to the Execution Group.
