Hi,

I'm on v6.1 and playing around with the SAP-nodes.

Currently I have an SAPInput node which uses a messageset with one IDoc-type. If I send another Idoc type to this Port, the SAPInput node sends an error message to the Failure terminal, but the message-data itself is lost.

Does anybody have a clean solution for this ... because the last thing I want is to loose messages due to incorrect setup. This is not what we stand for ....
It should either backout or give me the complete inputmessage.

Tx

Have you attempted to connect the Catch terminal of the SAPInput node?

Have you examined what happens to the IDoc inside SAP when the SAPInput node "loses" the message?

I attached both catch and failure terminals.
But it gets a parsing error because it does not find the BO def :
"Business object definition not found"
The message is gone in sm58, so for SAP it is delivered.

The second remark you make is what I was thinking about when driving home yesterday. I am wondering if the message will not get stuck in SAP if I do not attach the catch nor failure terminal. This is also what is done in the sample included in the help.
I will try that today.

Solution :

detaching the failure terminal keeps the message on SAP with a "javax.ResourceException" ... which is good enough for me.

How you configure your SAPInputNode.

I mean the Transanction property.

if it is yes then it goes back to SAP .

if it no then ti goes your error Queue.
