Hi.
I have installed MQ FTE on an AIX.

Started with "sh ./install.bin -i console"
Selected following names :

+ + +
Product installation directory : (DEFAULT: /opt/IBM/WMQFTE)
Data directory : (DEFAULT: /var/IBM/WMQFTE/config):
Coordination Queue Manager : (DEFAULT: ): COQM
Connect using the following transport mode: 1=Bindings
Enter the name of your agent: (DEFAULT: ): AGNA
Agent description (DEFAULT: ):
Enter the agent's queue manager name: (DEFAULT: COQM):
Connect using the following transport mode: 1=Bindings
Command Queue Manager Name: (DEFAULT: COQM):
Connect using the following transport mode: 1=Bindings
+ + +

All goes fine ...
+ + +
Installation Complete
---------------------
You have successfully installed IBM WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Server to:
/opt/IBM/WMQFTE
PRESS TO EXIT THE INSTALLER:
+ + +

But unfortunatelly the files "COQM.mqsc" and "AGNA_create.mqsc "
are/were empty !!!???

Any clue ?
Has anobody seen such symptoms ?

Thanks. Sebastian.

As (almost) always in AIX, the problem was ACCESS RIGHTS.

The solution is to create "/opt/fte/" and "/var/fte/"
...
make "mqm:mqm" their owner,
...
and provide these directories to the installer :

/opt/fte -> for program
/var/fte/config -> for configuration (must not exist)

And all is OK now.

Guess the product is a little bit "young" ....

Enjoy.
