Using MQ5.3 on Win2k communicating to either VSE or another MQ5.3 Win2k platform

I am trying to clean up an MQ test environment which I inherited. What is the difference between using Server/Requestor and Sender/Receiver channels.

Is this a matter of style or function

Thanks

Scott

Hi,
its matter of function..
In case of Sender-Reciever pair, the initiation for connection will be from Sender end..
In case of Server-Requester pair, the initiation will be from Requester..
In general the first pair should do the work..unless u have a requirement where the sending send cannot initiate the connection for example, communication between a server machine and a laptop....

In case or a server-requester pair, the channels can also be started from the sending side (that is, server), provided the sending side has a valid CONNAME attribute set (this attribute is optional when defining a server channel)
