Hi there,

i have a problem (and i know it won't be the last) with initial values on cwf types.

we are not allowed to use initial values in cobol copybooks on OS390.
Therfore the imported types do not have an initial value. I checked it out so fare that the inital value is generated at import if i use a "value zero" or "value space".

Is there a possibility to generate the initial value automatically even if i don't use the "value space" in the copybook ?

thanks a lot

Egils

Hi,
I normally add the Value clause to all of my COBOL copybooks before importing them. Use notepad or winword and perform global replace.

To answer your question, I don't know of any other way.
