Hello, all.
I'd like to know if there is dependency between MSGS, one of the channel status showing the number of msgs transmitted, and chanel sequence number, which is another channel parameter holding information about synchronization between channels.
What happens on MSGS when I issue 'reset channel' command?
Are there any dependencies between them?
Thanks in advance,

Message count 'MSGS' and message sequence number are not dependent. MSGS counter will reset to 0 when the channel goes inactive but not the message sequence number. So, you can very much see MSGS as 1 but at the same time sequence number as some other value.

Reset is recommended only when the channel is not able to achieve running state due to incorrect sequence number. Then you need to stop the channel, reset it and start it again. You can reset the channel with next sequence number or with 1 as next sequence number.
In this case, MSGS will go back to 0 and counter will start again for new messages. _________________ Regards
