I've got an error worth sharing with everyone. We today tried to upgrade from DB2 7.1 no fixpack to 7.1 fixpack 5. We hit the following errors while trying to start our HP-UX 2.1 CSD#1 brokers.

Nov 18 08:15:04 poof WMQIv210[12217]: (POOFB.agent)[1]BIP2228E: Severe error: /build/S210_P/src/CommonServices/Unix/ImbAbend.cpp 401 signal received Abend file: /var/mqsi/errors/POOFB.agent.12217.1.abend action: abort

This was due to a DB2 issue with the ODBC drivers. The temporary solution was to change the drivers in the /var/mqsi/odbc/.odbc.ini for DB2 from:
../sqllib/lib/libdb2.sl
to the following:
../sqllib/lib/libdb2_36.sl
This is the temporary solution from MQSI. The longterm solution is documented at the DB2 site:
