Hi

I am trying to make the MQ manager put a message into the dead letter queue. For this i created a queue full situation on the destination queue.
but the message is not put in the dead letter queue.

any help

If you do local queuing it's normal, your putting application receives a queue full return code and the message is not put on the dead-letter queue.

If you do distributed queuing, the message should go to the dead-letter queue as long as you have defined one for the queue manager. To make sure you have one run the MQSC command "ALTER QMGR DEADQ(SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE)".

If this does not answer your question, can you be more precise on the circumstances of the problem?
