I am running MQ v5.3 beta.

I have defined two queue managers on a Win2000 server. I am able to connect to one Q manager (the default), but not the other.

Using native Java, I get a 2059 return code. This exact same configuration and software works correctly on a NT box. I have checked and re-checked the channel and queue definitions as well as the parameters being passed to the environment variables, which are:

hostName = 10.0.0.1
port = 1415
serverConnection = SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN
qManagerName = SIEBEL.QUEUE.MANAGER
queueName = SIEBEL.REQUESTS

Again, everything works correctly on a NT server, but not the Win200 server.
I get the following message:

Exception: siebeltestharness.SiebelMessageSenderMQ init(): Could not initialize Queue Manager 'SIEBEL.QUEUE.MANAGER'. MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2059 com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2059
MQJE001: An MQException occurred: Completion Code 2, Reason 2059
MQJE011: Socket connection attempt refused
MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2059

Thanks
Tom McKennon

Just a couple of quick suggestions:
From a command line, enter 'dspmq' to make sure the
queue manager is running.
Run 'netstat -an > out' and edit the out file.
See if you have a "Listening" entry on port 1415. If not, then
you need to start a listener on th second queue manager.
