Hi All,
I'm new to usage of API exits. I want to use mirrorq api exit on two local queues of the same queue manager. Is this possible?
If so, can any one help me out how to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance,
Vinay |

Let me explain with an example...
I have a queue manager QM1, which has two local queues LQ1 and LQ2.
When ever a message arrives on LQ1, it has to be copied to LQ2.
WebSphere MQ 6.0
Maintenance level : 6.0.2.4
Windows 2003 Server.

I'll ask the usual question of do you actually need to copy the message, or has some management/audit requirement just dropped on you? Many posts on this topic.
AFAIK (and I'll stand to be corrected here) you can only load a single copy of an exit. But since mirrorq is only a sample and is not considered production strength, as part of your modifications to make it fit for use on your site, you could recode it to meet your needs.
I'll also add my usual dire warnings about exits and how much damage they can cause. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Ok, fine. No exits..
But is there any tool which can copy messages from one queue to another. This is not required for an audit purpose.
However, the infrastructure is being designed in such a way that, 2 different applications need to process the same message. One internal application and the other one is external to our company.

You can use a distribution list,
You can use pub/sub
You can use a little replication program
