To list certs from a keystore I issued the following command:

amqtcert -l -c "C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\qmgrs\A\ssl\key"

but it does not display a list of certs. The extension for the key database is .kdb and not .sto. Also I can confirm that there are certs added into the key database (.kdb).

Nor would I expect it to if you are running WMQ V6.0 as it's the transfer certificates command, to migrate V5.3 queue manager/client key stores (.sto) to V6.0 GSKit key stores (.kdb).

Also wrong syntax, the -c switch is for listing client key stores, not queue manager key stores. It's all in the manual.

Yes. To list the queue managers key store:
amqtcert -l -m <queuemanagername>
