Has anyone seen this?

BIP0054E Cannot open message catalog file MQSIV2_postit.

The message catalog file could not be opened.
The text for the message 15 could not be obtained.

Turn on Control Center tracing to capture details of the error.
Retry the operation and contact your IBM support center.

I have placed the MQSIV2_postit.dll in the <mqsi root>/messages. I have also placed MQSIV2_postit - what translates to an Outlook file there too. This file *kind of* looks like a properties file. However, when I look at the Neon plugin - it has a .dll file and a *real* properties file with a totally different format.

I also added the appropriate registry settings for this but it still does not work.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Could this be because of long directory name in EventMessageFile parameter into registry? Try copying file MQSIV2_postit.dll to another directory like C:\postit and see if this solves the problem.

Hi Kirani,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried and it didn't work. The NeonPlugins have the same exact setup and seem to be working fine so I'm not sure what the problem might be.

Should the plugin have a properties file available along w/the .dll to read it? Or is this not required?

Thanks,
Melissa

Melissa,

You don't need properties files for this plug-in. It is only required while displaying properties for the plug-in node into Control Center. Try sending an email to the author of plug-in and see if he is able to you help you with this.
Whenever i find some free time I will try to install this plug-in on my machine and see if I get the same error.

Melissa or Kiran,

I'm getting this same exact error BIP0054. Did you ever get a solution for this. For me, it does seem to deploy, with some strange side effects. I don't get any messages in my usertraces for the postit nodes. It's like the messages just pass through and out the other side. Did you experience this also? My broker side HP-UX mqsisyslog does get messages for "Broker has created plugin node factory...". I'm running 2.1 CSD#1, Control Center on CC only Win 2K machine. Broker is on HP-UX. Any ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Paul

Nada. Never did get it working. You might want to try contacting the author of the Postit node directly via email.

Good luck!
