Hi all,
We have the MQ-6.0.0.1, QM running on AIX.
Due to some requirement, we had to change the QM-CCSID to 437 from 819.
After the CCSID change & QM-restart, the MQ-explorer is failing to connect to the QM throwing the following error:
Quote: |
reason-code: 2195 , AMQ4048
MQ-explorer is on Windows-XP |
The connection was successful prior the CCSID change
MQ-error logs show:
Quote: |
AMQ9503: Channel negotiation failed.
EXPLANATION:
Channel 'SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN' between this machine and the remote machine
could not be established due to a negotiation failure. |
I tried connecting the explorer using the intermediary QM.
But I still get the following error:
Quote: |
AMQ4193
Message
The information supplied could not be correctly converted to the required code page.
Explanation
All or part of the information entered required conversion to a different code page. One or more characters could not be converted to an equivalent character in the new code page.
Response
Change the characters used, then try the operation again. |
The Sender & Receiver channels are running fine.
I can start the SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN but the chstatus doesnt show the channel as RUNNING
There are couple of FDCs created with following:
Quote: |
| UserID :- 00020051 (mqm) |
| Program Name :- amqzlaa0_nd |
| Addressing mode :- 64-bit |
| Process :- 1486910 |
| Thread :- 29 |
| QueueManager :- QMNAEDIQ2 |
| ConnId(1) IPCC :- 110 |
| ConnId(2) QM :- 63 |
| Major Errorcode :- STOP |
| Minor Errorcode :- OK |
| Probe Type :- HALT6109 |
| Probe Severity :- 1 |
| Probe Description :- AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred. |
Please help to solve this problem
Thanks in advance

You should not have needed to change the CCSID of the queue manager from Unix default to Windows Default. Whatever poor application design caused you to think this was a good idea should be redone entirely.
And you should revert the QMGR CCSID to one that is legal on your AIX platform. |

And, not that this is your problem, strongly consider applying maintenance. Your at 6.0.0.1 and current is 6.0.2.5 (Really!). |

you probably do not have the requisite fileset to convert from 1208, the explorer code page, to 437, the qmgr code page. i think you will want bos.iconv.ucs.pc |
