Hi All,
We have WMQI Broker 2.1 created on S/390. We have observed that the real storage utilization by the Broker is quite high.
We have a default execution group without any message flows.
We have one execution group (user defined with 3 simple message flows).
The broker spawns the following address spaces.
MQDEBRK
MQDEBRK1
MQDEBRK2
MQDEBRK3
The real storage used by MQDEBRK3 goes up to the order of 230T i.e. around 900 MB. And that by MQDEBRK1 and MQDEBRK2 will be around 50Ts.
Even when there are no transactions, going through the broker, we still find the real storage utilization to be around 90T.
Even a new empty execution group, without the message flows also uses high memory. Therefore we concluded that the memory utilization is not due to the message flows.
1. Is this kind of memory utitlization very high? What are the normal utilization values. (when the broker is idle).
2. Is there any kind of tuning that needs to be done during broker installation and customization.
The broker has been applied the latest CSD03.
3. Is there a way to associate the above 4 address spaces with the bipbroker, and the execution groups deployed (default and user defined)?
