Hi Guys,
We have a QMgr with 10 queues in it on a Unix server. If we have a new QMgr defined on the same box, how much percentage of server resources are used by the new QMgr defined with its default objects in it?. Do you guys direct me to any link with the statistics?.
Chris - that's a piece of string question - if the QM ain't running, it's consuming no resources apart from a few MB of disk space for the default objects.
Similary if it's running but doing nought, then apart from memory and handles ...
If you need to separate stuff (DEV/TEST/SIT/UAT/OAT/PROD) then your'e probably running on separate LPARs anyhow.
No NEED to separate applications in different QMs with the same level IMHO. Use naming conventions and OAM for that.
HTH
