In SAP 4.6c, in the definition for a specific "RFC Destination" (transaction sm59-->TCP/IP Connections, then select an existing definiton for an RFC Destination), there is a pulldown called "Destination" which lists as one of the possible options "MQS Options". When MQS Options is selected, a window is displayed asking for such information as Queue Manager and Queue name.
I have attempted to configure this option and get it to work, but so far no success. Is anyone familiar with it? Is it able to be used for MQ traffic inbound AND outbound to/from SAP? Only one or the other (from my experience RFC definitions have been used exclusively for outbound traffic, but I am no SAP expert)? Is there an implication that a QMgr is installed on the local SAP server? Could this possibly be configured to throw a flat file onto the SAP server directory structure?
A lot of questions, I know, but the documentation has proven to be non-existent on this topic.
Much thanks for any advice. _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Solutions Expert
