Hello,

Is it possible to modify CCSID that QFlex presents to remote Queue Manager?
If yes, please tell how it can be done.
Incompatibility in CCSIDs causes MQ API error 2009.

As I can see from a sniffed traffic between QFlex host and remote Queue Manager, QFlex presents CCSID 819 (Latin 1) while remote Queue Manager is configured for CCSID 866.

Off course, I can alter CCSID in Queue Manager. I did it for a test system and all works fine but I think that it's better to change this parameter in QFlex.

Max if your connection is a client connection you can set the CCSID on your qcf/tcf to ask for messages to be translated to say UTF-8 or CCSID 1208...

I believe in C or java base you might set that on MQMD passed into the GET call.

Enjoy
