Hi @,

We have a MQSeries client 6.0.2.0 installed on RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 and MQSeries client V6.0.2.0 installed on HP-Itanium with V6.0.1.1 and we tried to connect to MQSeries server on different boxes with different results.

On HP-Systems everything worked fine but on Linux we still problems connecting to some Queue Managers. Not to all:

We received always RC 2059 and an entry in the MQSeries Error-Logs:

05/16/2008 03:19:41 PM - Process(5262.1) User(mqm) Program(amqsputc)
AMQ9915: The IP protocol 'IPv4/IPv6' is not available on the system.

EXPLANATION:
An attempt to use an IP protocol that is not available on the system has been
made.
ACTION:
Install the required IP protocol or use an IP protocol that is available on the
system. This error can also occur if the system is short of memory or other
system resources.

The same connection from HP systems works without any errors.

Another connection from Linux to a Queue Manager works fine.
The correct MQSERVER variable was set for both connections.

I used a C-binary program amqsputc and saveqmgrc (compiled on that system) and a PCF-Java-Program and I can’t connect.
With RF 03 we received the same results!
Does the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL variable (set to a previous version) solve that problem? If yes, what are the correct settings?

Linux Version:
uname -a
Linux srv3012 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5 #1 SMP Tue Feb 19 07:18:21 EST 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Any ideas?

JV
