Hi There,
I want do synchronous messaging using MQ, From the docs no where I can find a mention of it. Anyone have any ideam How can it be done. I am using java and Win NT.

MQSeries (and I suspect most messaging oriented middleware) only provides asynchronous messaging. If you want synchronous, you can achieve *something* similiar using request/reply messages. Send a message and wait for a response message to arrive.
I am not up to speed on it but I believe that MQeveryplace may support synchronous messaging.... |

Thanks kolban,
I shall dig into it, to know more abt it. Can u pleace help with the url from where i can download the trial version of MQ series Everplace. I searched and land up downloading the support pacs and not the actual software...

If I understand the problem correctly, the javax.jms.QueueRequestor will serve your purpose. Check the request method in that.
The QueueRequestor creates a temporary queue for each request and waits for the reply. Thus will get synchronous request/reply behavior.
