Can someone help or advise on following problem;
We have MQSeries OS/390 V2.1 and we send data to another QMGR on UNIX.
The problem we get is that occassionally we stop sending messages, the channel sender is in run status, msgs queue on the Xmit queue.
The remote QMGR gets error 'Error receiving data'. The only way to resume transmission is for our QMGR on OS/390 to have its channel sender stopped with the force option. The reverse also sometimes occurs and we see the following;
+CSQX208E +MQSP CSQXRESP Error receiving data,
channel MQSP.DXB.TO.QIF,
connection 57.12.64.104,
TRPTYPE=TCP RC=00000480
Explanation: An error occurred receiving data from connection conn-id,
which might be due to a communications failure. The associated channel is
channel-name; in some cases its name cannot be determined and so is
omitted. trptype shows the communications system used:
TCP TCP/IP
LU62 APPC/MVS
and the return code from it (in hexadecimal) was return-code.
Severity: 8
System Action: The channel is stopped. The associated transmission queue
might be set to GET(DISABLED) and triggering turned off.
System Programmer Response: See Appendix D, "Communications protocol
return codes" for information about the cause of the return code from the
communications system.
The TCP RC 480 explanation is;
0480 = The asynchronous I/O request has been canceled.
Has someone experienced a similar problem or know a resolution.
Thanks.
