hi,
Can anyone tell where I can find detailed explanation of the Database explorer i.e. the 'Data' perspective in the Brokers Toolkit and its use / configuration / setup.
I have gone through the WMB Library on the net, the Toolkit help and the information center. Didn't find much. |

Select Data Perspective, you can see the Database explorer on in the Editory pane, right click , create new connection and connect to the database.
What other explanation you are looking for

Fine. When you click new connection what should be/how to identify the values in the requested fields.
On right-click in Database explorer and selecting new connection and going next to the second page 'Specify connection parameters'
1) Value in JDBC driver
2) Database location:
3) JDBC driver class
4) Class location
5) Connection URL:
Does connection to the database via the explorer verify he DSN definition and database connection or is it only a view without any change impact on the database.
I have created DB2 database via 'db2 create' command and would like to view it via the database explorer. |

I believe you have a Derby database selected. On the left hand panel, switch to a DB2 database. You'll get different options. Most of them are already pre-filled with the correct values. |

This functionality is traditionally part of Rational Application Developer, which the message broker toolkit builds upon. There is online help and many redbooks available for this product. |
